I made a new theme! I have been playing around with it for a while, and I came up with this in the end. I almost went with a larger width, but I have been doing that for two themes now, and going larger than the 900px container would not have worked on all screens without requiring some scrolling. Therefore, I decided a 700px container was a much better choice. 600px seemed way too small, and I use a median width of 500px for the majority of my pictures. So. That explains the width.
The navigation is to the side because I wasn’t happy with it being below the logo. I wanted “6birds” to receive the main attention. I almost didn’t have a navigation, but I soon became annoyed with not having one. With this being said, the image at the bottom linking to my about page didn’t happen, and the “sidebar” DIV named cat did happen. I am still iffy about whether the navigation should be fixed or not. I like it both ways, but I also like the fact that it stays in one place (otherwise I might feel as though as I am in an Iframe).
Like last year, it is snowing once again. I can dream for snow, can I not? Texans are never one hundred percent sure whether it snow (and stick). I can have at least one place where it will snow.

I actually think that you navigation would work better as part of the header or footer than where it is now. Personally, I love symmetry, and at the moment, your layout isn’t symmetrical. If you do move the navigation to underneath the big 6birds sign, I would still consider the big sign the main focus of your site, not the navigation. Also, the sidebar seems to be in a fixed spot while the rest of your site is fluid, making things look awkward in very large and very small resolutions.
Despite those two little things, I think that you did a good job on this layout. The text has enough space and is easy to read, and I can find everything – that’s much better than a lot of layouts out there, and I think that you’re getting better at web design. 😀
As someone who grew up in snow, I think that snow can be a bit overrated at times. I think that having a few inches is nice and pretty, but any more than that, and snow becomes a hindrance.

ew snow! I don’t want show to come, but I’m going to have to suck it up and accept it when it does come to stay; I live in southern Ontario hah! Its the 1st of December and we’re still snow free 😀 Well, it snowed a little, not enough to stay.

Cute snow! I only just noticed how it’s showing behind the text, and the comments.. what a cool effect. I live in Alberta, Canada… we get snow for almost 6 months of the year. There isn’t much out there right now though as we seem to have less this year than most.
